He continued: "If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn't get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet, so that all the companies could make money off the Internet."
Republicans grabbed the phrase "you didn't build that" and took off running. They are crowing that Obama's phrase gave them a launching pad for a robust attack by suggesting Democrats don't believe in the power of the individual - or of entrepreneurship.

GOD DAMN REPUBLICANS!
The only reason they give themselves so much credit:
They have no sense of history beyond the day they were born / the future beyond their own (stupid);
or...
they know exactly what it is they are doing (self serving)!
Example:
Bill O'Reilly's seventy percent of Americans who believe it was Muslims who killed us 9/11.
He's not THAT stupid;
but...
MOST of America... IS!
How does a party as complex as the Democratic Party able to compete fairly with that combination.
No one is denying that all the hijackers were Muslims.
Rest of America just know it's a lot more complicated than that.
That's where it takes a "GOD GIVEN BRAIN" (for lack of a better way to put it) to know the difference!
Believe Bones McCoy from Star Trek said it best:
"It's been my observation EVIL always win unless GOOD is very, very careful."

Quoting my mother who is quoting someone else:
"There is nothing more uninformed than the average American voter."
Even my own mother, an avid Hilliary supporter, fell short disappointing me severely refusing all attempts reasoning with her why she should vote for Obama:How does a party as complex as the Democratic Party able to compete fairly with that combination.

"If you can't vote for Obama because Hilliary wants you to, then all your reasons being for Hilliary were wrong to begin with!"
THEN, hearing her join in the Tea Party Movement's chorus of calling President Obama an "ELITIST!", I pointed out to her bluntly:
"That's just your polite way of agreeing with my redneck brother, 'you don't care how educated a black man is. He's still a nigger!'"
Oh hell! Maybe it's just good old fashion penis envy.
A son's a son until he gets him a wife.
A daughter's a daughter all her life.
Another of mother's favorites.
