These three sock monkeys had been hanging off one arm of this cross for several months 

before 

neighborhood gossiping got back to me that they were being interpreted as racially motivated.

And I failed to understand why that would be?

If the three wise monkeys 

weren't

 racially motivated sitting on a bench, or a rock, or a log...

why would they be racially motivated now just because they are hanging by their neck?

If anything, 

just another example 

of 

TRAGIC VISION of HUMANKIND.

"As a species,

there are limitations/flaws in the way we think. 

And,

 unless we collectively take this into account 

and 

act on it preemptively, 

 we are doomed 

to 

failure."

My gut feeling tells me it has more to do with them hanging from a cross 

and/or 

my somewhat redneck appearance. 

Just people and their prejudice wanting to believe what they rather believe instead;

not taking kindly 

to 

someone unwilling helping them living 

their 

 insignificant sheltered little lives so scripted it's nothing but living a lie. 

Well, 

the Christians do not own the cross as a symbol.  

In fact,

 it predates Christianity.

In ancient Celtic culture, 

it was a symbol of ethnic heritage.

I find it interesting 

that 

the cross with the words

TRAGIC VISION of HUMANKIND

on

black plastic sheeting ended up with me getting me fined $2000.00; 

 being in violation 

of 

three of  DeKalb County Code Ordinances:

1. Nailed to a tree.

2. Larger than 6 square feet.

3. More than 4 feet above grade level.

But,

 with the plastic sheeting removed and the words along with it, 

the cross STILL there with the three monkeys STILL hanging by their necks 

now 

in compliance with  DeKalb County Code Ordinances.

Or,

could have just cut that tree, 

it being both larger than six square feet and more than four feet above grade itself, 

down 

alone with all the other trees in my front yard.  

Five trees for December and five trees for January.

Same 

as 

The Useless Green Acre Faggots couple 

of 

Mr. Charles W. Bliss and Mr. Bobby B. Rasulnia

did

with their newly acquired property next to mine.

 And many more,

 assuming DeKalb County refuses enforcing it's GREEN LAWS with me the same as DeKalb County refused enforcing it's GREEN LAWS with Mr. Charles W. Bliss in spite of all the complaints called in by the current residents living neighborhood at the time, two of which were mine.

Personally,

 believe these three monkeys hanging by their necks from one arm of a cross, 

if going to continue viewing them as inflammatory no matter how I explain their meanings,  

less inflammatory when combined with that same cross bearing these following words,

TRAGIC VISION OF HUMANKIND,

than 

without these words.

Well, 

the three wise monkeys, sometimes called the thee mystic apes, are a pictorial maxim.  

Together they embody the proverbial principle

 to 

"see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil."

There are various meanings ascribed to the monkeys and the proverb including associations 

with 

being of good mind, speech and action.

In the Western world both the proverb and the image 

are 

often used to refer to a lack of moral responsibility on the part of people 

who

 refuse to acknowledge impropriety, looking the other way, or feigning ignorance.  

It 

may also signify a code 

of 

silence in gangs, or organised crime. 

When combining these two extreme opposite perspectives into one...

they end up being most unhelpful.

What you have resulting here is a stalemate!

You might as well hang them.

Unless...

you add a compromise.

And here is where I learned,

indirectly,

the uber significance of the number three in numerology.

The third perspective for these monkeys

now being...

3: POINTS

1) Not only has other's behaviors not gone unnoticed.

2) They are  not acceptable.

3) Will not be tolerated as long as able having anything to say or do about it.

THE NEED/CREATION 

OF 

THE POLITICAL CATALYSE

Despite our nation's population being roughly 80% Christian;

the fierce partisan politics of today, the political divided almost 50/50, the gridlock...

the 

perfect example making my point. 

As an example for the first perspective of our bunch of monkeys, 

being of sound mind, body and action; 

believe 

we can use our supposedly (?) liberal leaning Methodists.  

With the Methodists wanting to believe:

  

Jesus’ new commandment “[t]hat you love one another 

as 

I have loved you,” 

predominates over all other concerns.

Can't argue with them on that point; but only up to point.  

Set the example 

for

 others to follow.

It is a step in the right direction.

And that's it!

presumptively, dismissively, or even disparagingly

of 

any viewpoint that is not our own, 

we 

are failing to love our neighbors."   

That's just not going to work. 

You just cannot 

be 

neutral on a moving train.

Not with our more traditionalist conservative churches,

 the Baptists Churches for example,

 representing the second perspective for our bunch of monkeys.  

"Lacking of moral responsibility on the part of people 

who

 refuse to acknowledge impropriety, looking the other way, or feigning ignorance," 

fitting 

the description of their crime 

as

"empathy erosion" 

or 

even "zero degrees of empathy" perfectly.

I'm not talking laws and and the breaking of them here.  

I'm talking this mentality, of which the Conservatives are most guilty,  with things like 

associating 

crime with black people 

and 

A.I.D.S. as being God's wrath against the sin of homosexuality. 

Them 

claiming one debate,

"They work hard for their money and deserve to keep it!"

while 

all the same claiming,

 but 

not within the same debate,

"Hell! They can do charity better than the government!"  

When one considers this fact...

"ALL PROGRESS IS A NEGOTIATION;

THEREFORE,

HOW CAN THERE BE PROGRESSION WITHOUT 

FIRST 

FORCING THE NEGOTIATIONS?"

we are now, 

further defining Conservatives as being resistant to change,

 fighting it with every step of the way using every trick in the book they know, 

preferring

the current system because it favors them already.

The Conservatives viewing, 

RIGHTFULLY, 

any progression as requiring 

SACRIFICE

needed on their part correcting the injustice.

I've come to view the Gods worshipped by those within the Republican party as being made

of 

PURE GOLD or JUST GOLD PLATED.

"WHO FUCKING CARES ABOUT THOSE PEOPLE!

How could I ever pretend I didn't hear this former friend of mine saying this?  

By continuing to be this person's friend,

 just now learning the hard way,

In the beginning was wanting to believe

the

 Conservatives were Conservatives only because they didn't know better.

And took this

Not only have I since learned the traditionalist conservative churches

LIBERAL METHODIST and similar CHRISTIANS

 wasting 

our valuable time and resources going after each other instead. 

I'm learning the liberal leaning Christians can be quite 

a 

spineless/sensitive bunch.

Or,

just plain outright guilty of not being able 

to

"WALK THE TALK"

when 

put to the test by those further to the left on the political spectrum. 

If not able accepting criticism of themselves, even outright refusing to hear and debate the complaints; 

then 

how can they rightfully believe they are setting the example for others to follow, 

expect 

members of the more traditionalist Conservative churches seeing them as nothing more 

than 

the very same 

"HYPOCRITES" 

they hear themselves accused of being?
