How about gay and proud? what are your thoughts on this? We okay with two men holding hands in public? What if there are straight(?)children around? OMG!!! What's the correct protocol here? Yes? No? Are they or are they not allowed to hold hands if you are able having anything to say or do about this? Believe you've probably misinterpreted this intolerance/bigotry you've supposedly witness against "straight" pride....?
Just the other day, instigated a conversation with a plumber from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing-The Punctual Plumber as he installed a new toilet for me. Deep within Metro-Atlanta, in other words, I'm already assuming this sexy looking plumber most likely was from outside the perimeter, most likely married with children, and now most likely outside his comfort zone.
And I told him all this before asking him if he ever gets hit on by gay men within Metro-Atlanta while servicing their plumbing? Was only curious if gay men actually were that aggressive? Certainly is a favorite gay porn scene? And he certainly was a ruggedly handsome enough of a man that I could see these pretentious Atlanta queens not afraid of trying...at least...anyway?
Instead of answering this question, he tells me, instead, he has gay friends. No problem with gays at all. Then he feels it important to add: "I do have a problem with them being so... "out there"..."open"... with their... "gayness"...?
Believing this to be a hint of disapproval directed at me? Not happy with this question asking of him....? Not happy with me being..."so out there"...with my gayness?
And I was already ready with my answer:
"Obviously, you guys, even those like you with gay(?)friends, have no idea how much we have to shut down, constantly aware of our surroundings when we are outside the perimeter; in other words, outside our comfort zone. The things we constantly hear while at the same time can do or say nothing in response. And this can be with family members/relatives, members still of the same church we grew up with before moving to the gay ghettos, even situation where someone like you having gay(?)friends might have failed putting a non-gay friend in his proper place having just insulted a gay friend of yours you invited to join you and the rest of the boys for a night of beer and shooting pool., etc., etc., etc. And...THIS....is the reason for us..."THE LIKES OF ME"... being..."SO OUT THERE"...with our behavior once back within our comfort zone.
And...not all of us can do this! Or simply, like it is with most gay men as well, just not wanting to do this. Examples might even be "YOUR" gay friends not able affording to move to gay friendlier neighborhoods? But some of us can! And...I consider it to be a moral obligation.
It's call the...."GOOD COP/BAD COP"...routine.
As all progress is a negotiation...someone's got to do it. That is...forcing the negotiations enabling your gay(?)friends openingly(?)being your friend? Just because they are ... "gay" ...is no reason of mine calling someone a friend."
Did this plumber learn anything from me? Probably not...? Conservatives never do. Once upon a time, once believed conservatives were only conservatives because they didn't know better. Not any more.
But I guarantee you this, next time this plumber automatically starts to complain about gays being so out there with their lifestyle choice, he will hesitate first; weighing the priorities of keeping his overwhelmingly conservative relationships happy and content with him vs. being a real man promoting progression for all instead of just themselves.
Probably important I add that I do the same for blacks and other minorities even if homophobes themselves in general, women and children (even the unborn), drug users and their dealers, animals, etc., where not able defending themselves.
I even speak for the trees.

Well, the truth from my perspective is, I love EVERYONE. BOTTOM LINE. I am as God made me with FEMALE genetalia. I believe God made WOMAN for MAN for them to be a mate for each other. WHAT OTHERS choose to do with their lives, is gonna be something they will have to answer to the ONLY TRUE JUDGE in the end. I'm STRAIGHT AND IM PROUD TO BE SUCH. I HOPE THAT WHATEVER A PERSON IS, THEY ARE PROUD N HAPPY AS WELL. I DONT HAVE TO PAY FOR ANYONES SINS BUT MY OWN. GOD GIVES ALL OF US CHOICES MY CHOICE IS TO FOLLOW HIS WILL AND HIS ALONE. And the Eternal Father to be...again...Jesus thou artful dodger way giving Joseph the credit; Mary's protector as well as his parental father... completely by choice of his own free will...an older man stepping in where none others would... simply from the kindness of his heart. Try as best as you can, picturing that vicious mob mentality once someone figures out this child had been born less than nine months. And Joseph had only 12 short years molding this child into the man his mother Mary would be needing as her replacement protector once Joselp no longer able himself. For Jesus to marry and bring another woman, one with their own child into their household probably would not have worked. Their 3 combined stories it would have to be...becoming larger than life itself. If one having any lessons worth learning than this cheap "DOPE ON A ROPE" their story has become today.

What gave you the idea that I do not believe in God? This is what I like about being an atheist. As I refuse choosing any god to recognize or worship, this automatically leaves the only God available being my witness, the genuine one, the one true one. The same claim you, or any of the other claiming to believe in god, not quite able making the same. Only the God that be my witness, be witness to us all. In other words, the only god between me and you right now is yours. And you haven't a fucking clue what God's Words are? If the day ever arrives all of you can agree as to what it means believing in a god that's one and the same, then I'll consider it. In the meantime, my belief is that children never really grow up until their parents die.
GIRRRRL. you just need to lose that crutch and grow up. Believing you've been persecuted because you are "STRAIGHT and PROUD."
Just don't go overboard thinking having babies is your god given purpose in life. There is such thing as a responsible breeder! Not if it translate into even more adults behaving like children living for all eternity in the present.
Such a shame Maya Angelou died yesterday. Now means women of your kind one up on us. Such a shame.

Well my parents are dead, and my children are grown, I am a grandma many times over and I have been through things in my lifetime ONLY GOD could have saved me from. Being born in the 60s in Birmingham, Alabama, I gave witness to my people who were raped, beaten, maimed, my father found his father, my grandfather hanging from a tree when he was nine years old. My brother at the age of eleven was beaten so badly by police when Gov Bill Conner released the dogs n fire hydrants on the CHILDREN who only wanted to be treated as a person. I was there when kkk bombed 16th street Baptist Church n killed four little black girls. I saw prejudice and racism at an early age where our men were beaten like dogs, cut hand or foot off, rape their wives n children, even little boys, without any sense of remorse or shame as if it were the thing to do, my brothers head was so swollen he couldn't even open his eyes, his knee cap was hanging on by a piece of skin, blood everywhere, I was six years old n I remember as if it were yesterday. The house next to us we woke one sunday morning and it was a cross burning in front right next to us. Dont tell me I don't know Gods word cuz just as Jesus bore the cross ALONE, he was looking thousands of years ahead and thinking about this beautiful black girl, so innocent to the world who knew nothing of hatred and prejudice, and GAVE HIS LIFE FOR ME. I find it interesting you answered MY POST and I don't feel anything is coinsodence its all controled by God alone. I think if anyone should have a reason to hate, It would be me, we all have a story n I just gave you a glimpse of my life, I thank God for my father, through ALL we went through, he taught us love, beyond what we saw, beyond what we went through, beyond how we were treated, I NEVER HEARD MY FATHER SAY A BAD WORD ABOUT ANYONE. When I turned 15 years old, I was filled with rebellion and bitterness, but ine day I got to kniw JESUS for myself, and I can truly say, without him I would not be who I am, he is sooo in my heart that I have no room for any negativity, hatred, animosity just love. ODE TO JESUS CHRIST, MY LIFE.

I am very sorry you and those close to you suffered the lives you've lived at the hand of my W.A.S.P. tribe. I truly am. But try listening very carefully at what I just said. At the hands of my WHite anglo saxon protestant relatives, and yet you turn right around credit Jesus Christ as your savior who rewards you in the end for your patience continuing to place faith him delivering on his promise for your suffering. The one and the same Jesus Christ who my W.A.S.P. relatives are counting on him delivering on his promise forgiving them of their sins against humanity (both african-americans as well as sexual orientation, both W.A.S.P. and african-american as well as any other minority groups) as Jesus also believed us to all be sinners also. This includes the W.A.S.P. being forgiven for every crime/sin ever committed against your family as well as every sin/crime of you and your family committed against us homosexuals both African -American as well as W.A.S.P like me.
Then I come along and see a post on here by you believing yourself persecuted by gays openly claiming themselves gay but proud somehow translated into it being wrong for you being straight and proud while you so openly proclaim yourself Jesus FREAK and Proud which in the end only helps the W.a.S.P. successfully persecute all the rest of us even a longer while still because of your irrational faith in jesus save actually give you more in common with them than the sufferings we share binding us against them.
Bottom line is that your love for jesus would be fine if only you drop the Christ part; the part turning all this positive energy you claims due to him that harming us more than any net good coming out of it for us overall. Franchesca Pena

I don't no why I had to share this with you, but I know its in the plan, not to receive any kind of sorrow cuz I'm the STRONGEST WOMAN I KNOW. I am blessed among many that God changed my heart n I had a loving father whom I loved with every fiber of my being but until I became to realise, it wasn't that I loved my dad so much I LOVED THE GOD THAT WAS INSIDE HIM.
